 Face materials for fairway woods are generally 17-4 or 15-5 stainless steel. To achieve maximum C.O.R., we adopted the technology behind our X-1 driver and engineered proprietary steel that would allow us to forge the face of our fairway woods as thin as possible without sacrificing structiural intergrity. The faceplate is actually forged thinner around the perimeter and thicker in the center to promotee higher C.O.R. and thus greater initial ball velocity.
