DIRECT COMPOSITE TECHNOLOGIESFREQUENCY SYNCHRONIZATION SYSTEM Most shaft manufacturers today determine flex using a flex board. A weight is suspended from the tip and the deflectoin measured. However, this method is static (non moving) and does not accurately represent the dynamic motions of a golf swing. In addition, the flex ranges on a flex board carry a wide tolerance, meaning that shafts may play softer or firmer within a flex. For example, when a clubmaker makes the purchase of 10 iron shafts for a customer from various other manufacturers, it is expected that each would be identical. In reality, each shaft has a different frequency, and in some cases much different. The result is an inconsistent feel from club to club. FSS (Frequency Synchronization System) was created to maximize the consistency of flexes. A shaft is put in motion to determine its natural rate of vibration, or its frequency. The frequency of a shaft is measured in cycles per minute: the lower the frequency, the more flexible the shaft. DCT matches the precise frequency of each shaft to its correct flex range. Flex designations by frequency are much more precise and offer quality clubmakers the ability to build clubs that match one another in the same set. This creates uniform feel, and tighter shot dispersion for better scores. Frequency synchronization is the most accurate method today of ensuring consistent flex. With the DCT FSS system, you can be assured of consistency from shaft to shaft, and ultimately, have more confidence in your clubs and your performance. All Direct Composite Technologies shafts are Frequency Synchronized using the FSS system and are fully backed with a lifetime warranty. To order use our secure order form.
