GRAPHITE DESIGN INTERNATIONAL SELECTED TO PROVIDE
SHAFTS FOR NIKE GOLF CLUBS LAUNCH

SAN DIEGO, CA - Graphite Design International ("GDI") today announces that it
has been selected by Nike Golf to provide exclusively-designed composite shafts
for Nike golf clubs to be launched at the PGA Merchandise Show in Orlando,
Florida, January 25-28.

GDI is manufacturing high-performance, graphite shafts for Nike drivers. GDI
designed the shafts - made of a new, proprietary mix of high-modulus and
low-resin composite materials - specifically for best integration into Nike's
clubheads. The new technology results in golfers experiencing enhanced
distance, accuracy, balance, control, trajectory, and impact feedback.

"The Graphite Design shaft was thoroughly tested by hundreds of everyday golfers
over an extended period of time, it showed excellent test results, and
demonstrated qualities that golfers are looking for to improve their games,"
says Tom Stites, Director of Product Creation.

"Nike has assembled a group of specialized vendors and experts, and Graphite
Design is pleased to be part of the team," says Dan Brown, Vice President of
GDI. "Nike places quality and performance first and foremost in developing an
excellent product line, top to bottom."

Nike's two technologically-advanced Forged Titanium Driver models feature "hot"
faces made from proprietary Beta Titanium which are stronger, thinner and
lighter than other drivers on the market.

GRAPHITE DESIGN INTERNATIONAL'S 'YS' GOLF-CLUB SHAFT USED BY WINNER OF YESTERDAY'S BUICK OPEN

YS Shafts Used in Two Consecutive PGA Tour Wins, Fred Meyer Challenge Victory

SAN DIEGO, CA - Graphite Design International ("GDI") today announces that the
winner of yesterday's PGA Tour event, the Buick Open (Grand Blanc, MI), used
GDI's "YS-7" shaft in his golf clubs (Taylor Made driver).

Last week, the winner of the PGA Tour's Qwest International (Denver, CO) used
GDI's YS-6 shaft (in a Titleist driver) to win the tournament. Also, both PGA
Tour players comprising the winning the two-person team in the Fred Meyer
Challenge this past Tuesday used GDI's YS shafts in their driver clubs.

The Buick Open marks the eighth tournament in 2001 -- and the 18th in 19 months
-- that GDI shafts were used to win a PGA Tour event.

The top 15 finishers each week on the PGA Tour have won more than $16,500,000
using GDI shafts, which have also been in the golf clubs of four winners on the
2001 Senior PGA Tour and multiple winners on the European PGA Tour.

"Graphite Design is proud to be provider of shafts with great success," says Dan
Brown, Vice President of GDI. "The many Tour wins validate the importance of
Graphite Design's high-performance shafts in golf clubs of the best players in
the world and the weekend warriors. Graphite Design is obsessed with quality."

Just four weeks ago, a prototype of GDI's next generation of YS shafts was used
by the winner of the PGA Tour's Greater Milwaukee Open. That same week, the
winner of the LPGA Tour's Michelob Light Classic (Eurkea, MO) used GDI's
multi-metal Graphite Alloy Technology ("GAT") shafts in her irons.

GRAPHITE DESIGN INTERNATIONAL'S GRAPHITE AND MULTI-METAL
GOLF CLUB SHAFTS USED BY YESTERDAY'S PGA AND LPGA TOUR WINNERS

SAN DIEGO, CA - Graphite Design International ("GDI") announces that the winners
of the PGA and LPGA Tour events this weekend used GDI shafts in their golf
clubs.

Yesterday's winner of the PGA Tour's Greater Milwaukee Open played with a
prototype of GDI's next generation of its popular YS shafts. They were
personally designed by GDI Chief Executive Officer, Megumi Yamada, the foremost
designer of shafts for Japan PGA Tour players the past decade and a golf-shaft
icon in the Asian golf industry.

The Greater Milwaukee Open marks the sixth time in 2001 -- and the 16th in 18
months -- that GDI shafts were used to win a PGA Tour event. The top 15
finishers each week on the PGA Tour have won more than $14,000,000 using GDI
shafts, which have also been in the golf clubs of four winners on the 2001
Senior PGA Tour and multiple winners on the European PGA Tour.

Yesterday's winner of the LPGA Tour's Michelob Light Classic (Eureka, MO) used
GDI's multi-metal Graphite Alloy Technology ("GAT") shafts in her irons. She
has used the GAT shafts all season.

"It's infrequent that a golf-equipment company registers two wins in one
weekend," says Dan Brown, Vice President of GDI. "We're very proud of the
players' accomplishments, and their choice of high-performance Graphite Design
shafts. The Tour wins demonstrate the importance of the shaft-clubhead delivery
system, not just the clubhead."

"We're really excited about Graphite Design's multi-metal GAT shaft contributing
to the LPGA Tour win. It's gratifying to know that the GAT shaft satisfies
performance requirements of all genders of Tour players," Brown says.

Other Tour achievements include Greg Norman playing the YS shaft for 3-1/2 years
and endorsing it for two; 40 percent of the top 65 players in the 2000 World
Ranking play GDI shafts; and PGA Tour player Franklin Langham won more than
$1,600,000 and ranked a career-high 26th in 2001 using GDI's GAT shaft
(available exclusively in Titleist golf clubs).

GRAPHITE DESIGN INTERNATIONAL'S MULTI-METAL AND
GRAPHITE GOLF CLUB SHAFTS USED BY
MORE THAN 35 PERCENT OF PLAYERS IN U.S. OPEN

SAN DIGEO, CA - Graphite Design International ("GDI") announces that its
multi-metal "GAT" and graphite "YS" golf club shafts were used by more than 35
percent of the players in the U.S. Open, which concludes today in Tulsa,
Oklahoma.

GDI shafts were also used by two of the top-ten finishers at the U.S. Open.

GDI's achievement at the U.S. Open further cements the GAT and YS shafts as
preferred among PGA Tour players. GDI shafts were used by five PGA Tour event
winners in 2001 -- most recently in the Kemper Insurance Open -- and by 15
winners the past 17 months. This year, through the U.S. Open, the top 15
finishers each week on the PGA Tour have won more than $12,000,000 using GDI
shafts.

"When a major tournament is on the line, PGA Tour players turn to Graphite
Design products for exceptional performance," says Dan Brown, Vice President of
GDI. "The success on Tour is helping translate into voluminous requests for
Graphite Design shafts by amateur golfers seeking a significant competitive
advantage."

Of select note in 2001, the winner of the French Open on the European PGA Tour
used GDI's YS shaft in his driver, as did the winner of the Bruno's Memorial
Classic on the Senior PGA Tour. GDI shafts have been in the golf clubs of four
winners on the 2001 Senior PGA Tour.

In 2001, GDI shafts have been in the golf clubs of 30 to 40 percent of the PGA
Tour players most every week. In April, at the Masters Tournament in Augusta,
Georgia, 40 percent of the top 15 finishers used GDI shafts. In early May,
eight of the top 12 finishers in the PGA Tour's Greater Greensboro Open used GDI
shafts.

Other Tour achievements include Greg Norman playing the YS shaft for 3-1/2 years
and endorsing it for two; 40 percent of the top 65 players in the 2000 World
Ranking play GDI shafts; and PGA Tour player Franklin Langham won more than
$1,600,000 and ranked a career-high 26th in 2000 using GDI's GAT shaft
(available exclusively in Titleist golf clubs).

GDI's YS and GAT shafts are comprised of more than 140 different types of
composite materials in GDI's design portfolio. Their low-resin and high-modulus
(stiffness) integration results in golfers' consistently experiencing superior
distance, accuracy, balance, control, trajectory, and impact feedback.
