Ultimate Frequency Oscillation

In 1999 when Innovative Graphite first began work on how to produce the perfect golf shaft, the word that was continually rought up was "oscillation." We know we had the technology to produce shafts with the tightest tolerances in the industry as it relates to flex, torque and flex points--we have been doing that for over 12 years. We also know that our shafts were the most consistent in the industry when it comes to minimizing oscillation but there was still room for improvement in that category. To make the perfect golf shaft you cannot just stop at matching the cpm, torque, and flex, point for a particular golfers swing. The final piece to the perfect shaft puzzle: ZERO OSCILLATION. For a shaft to perform at its very best it must flex and reflex on a straigth plane with little or no side to side motion. Any side to side motion will cause the clubhead to either bend toe up or toe down which mis directs shots either left or right of the target.

Using our proprietary Compression Curing System (tm) as a starting point, Innovative Graphite worked to find a way to fine tune a shafts' oscillation during the manufacturing process that significantly increases the performance of a graphite shaft by substantially reducing the oscillation. This innovative new shaft manufacturing and design method is called the UFO System (tm) for Ultimate Frequency Oscillation.

The Ultimate Frequency Oscillation System is the ultimate in graphite shaft design. This technology allows Innovative Graphite to produce a shaft that flexes straight up and down with little or no side to side motion on both the X and the Y axis of the shaft.

On average, Innovative Graphite UFO System (tm) shafts have 61.5% less oscillation than our competitors. That means a 60 percent better chance of the golfer finding the fairway. Why? Because the less oscillation in a shaft the tighter the shot disbursement which equals more fairways hit.

UFO3.2-The new UFO 3.2 shaft also features the UFO System but with 3.2 deg. of torque for easier playability and feel that the amateur golfer requires. The mid weight UFO 3.2 is ideal for the mid handicap player or the low handicap player with a smooth tempo swing that is looking to straighten out their drives.

The graphs below illustrate the high oscillation of some of our competitors top selling shafts
and the low oscillation of UFO System™ shafts when bouncing in a frequency analyzer. The
different color ovals represent the major movements of the tip of the shaft during the frequency
measurement process. The black circle is the starting and ending position of the shaft tip. All
shafts were clamped at the butt end with 5 inch insertion and tip weighted with a 205 gram weight.
