The one I use if from Golfworks, dont recall the name. I'm not all

Dear fellows

I live in Finland and there are no easy way for me to get a look at the Dynacraft
shaft data book (except buying which is too expencive for one time case).

I would like to know what is in this book about the following shafts, especially about
shaft flex and frequency. (I have golfsmith catalogue). All regular flex

True Lite (5010W) This is the new lightweight steel
TTLite
Dynamic
Dynalite

The reason is that I want to make woods 1 and 3 a little longer for driving with light shaft
and still have the flex, bend-pint and frequency about the same througout the set.

I thing that there is no real need for a graphite. According my calculations the length gain
between True Lite and Carbon stick Ultralite is only 7mm (0.279")

Thank you in advance
Heikki Putkonen

Harvey was right about a lot of things, but using talcum powder to see
impact point wasn't one of them. I tried it on several irons and never
got a clear print on any of them.

Subject of much controversy. It currently seems that Torque (torsional
stiffness for those concerned with details) doesn't have as big an effect on
the the golf shot as originally thought. Below a certain torque value, the
only effect appears to be with the feel of the club. There are some that
think shots hit fat will show a big effect from torque, but who nows. In
general, a low torque shaft makes a club that feels stiffer than it really
is. I try and make all clubs with graphite shafts with a torque rating under
4.5 deg. The low handicap golfers typically prefer torque ratings in the 3.0
to 3.5 deg range.
Hope this helps.

Geoff,
I'm a 16 handicap and have experimented with many shafts which had various
torque values.

For my woods, I've settled on the Aldila HM-30 stiff flex, which has 3.5 deg of
torque. The HM-35 I tried with a stiff flex and 3.1 deg felt TOO stiff. I could
hit the HM-35 well when my game was on, but when it wasn't, everything went to
the right, as you would expect from a club that is too stiff. I found the HM-30
to give consistently good to excellent results even if I don't have my "A"
game. I am currently playing it in a Dynacraft Copperhead 13 deg driver at 43".
I can hit that club 220+ (carry) yards, with roll up to 275 yards. I'm planning
on using the same combination of components, but at a 10.5 deg loft and a 45"
length.

I think torque is like flex - you have to find one that suits your game. With
all of the different shafts, it is double duty to discover the right
combination of flex and torque and bendpoint.

Alan -- Here is the description of each as printed in the golfsmith
catalog;
Tour Model II
"Perimeter-weighted, moderately offset, true cavity back design provides
exceptionally forgiving playability and maximum distance."

Tour Model IV
"Classic cavity-back with dramatic camber and roll to the sole,
providing the player with solid impact from a variety of lies. Slightly
offset, perimeter weighted and available in several popular options:
V-grooves or square grooves; right or left hand; standard or graphite
weighted." (Tour Model IV)

The lofts and lies appear to be identical. Both club heads are somewhat
smaller than most currently popular heads but between the two I prefer
the IV.

Good luck -- mpace

Can't go any longer on length due to Swingweight, and of course normal

Anyone familiar with a supplier of something different than Standard or +- 2

I thought I saw a 5 degree upright iron from a company called Golf Dynamics.
