THE BEST SO FAR (OSB)

During this year I experimented with True Temper Assailant shafts. They are filament wound graphite with an oversize butt (865).These shafts are tip trim only and available in A, R, S flex for woods and irons.
I made demo clubs in driver and 5 irons and gave them to members at our golf course to try. The feedback was amazing. A common fact portrayed by all was, "how easy the clubs swing and what a nice feel. The majority saw increased distance and accuracy. The iron shafts launch the ball with a higher trajectory and land soft. The shot dispersion is very tight due to the clubhead squaring consistently. I also tested the clubs and was impressed. The response was so good I decided to make a set of irons (2-PW). The result is the best set of graphite shafted irons I have ever played. I hold a four handicap and participate in senior tournaments.
These shafts play a little on the stiff side so the A and R flexes will be best for the average player. The tipping section was very consistent and with 1/2 inch increments the flex was a true stiff for each finished club. Unusual for graphite today. I must mention I screened the raw shafts first with a frequency machine and designate them to each club.I also gram matched my heads with exactly 7 gram increments. The grip used is 28 grams.
Anyone interested in assembly specs feel free to contact me.
For clubmakers who have not tried this type of shaft, "try it, you will be amazed.
