"...one of the best sites I have seen. I have been involved with golf club repair and custom fitting (25 years and before it was fashionable), it's great to see something like this online! Looking forward to coming back again."

"...because of your shaft manufacturer list I was able to contact Unifiber and find a replacement shaft for a discountinued model. Thanks!!"

"...I really like your site, and I just subscribed to your ShopTalk mailing list which was extremely helpful and devoid of all the junk that I've seen elsewhere. Well done!"

"...I have just started to look into making my own clubs. I was wondering if you could refer me to a good book on the subject? I would like to learn all basics including how long the shafts should be for my height etc. By the way, I love your site. Lots of great information in an easy to follow format."

The Maraging Steel driver arrived on Friday, July 10 and I played it on Sunday. I asked my wife if she could make room in our bed for the newest love of my life.

You were correct, the Maraging head and Carbine XL shaft is a great combination. I just love it to death. I didn't hit ever ball perfectly, but even the ones not stuck well carried well. It's a great combination and I'm glad you suggested it. I was hitting balls 30 to 40 yards longer than my average drives. Until yesterday, I considered a 240 yd drive one of the better drives of the day. Yesterday, 260 to 270 yds were the average tee shots, not the exception. Thanks again, you've have made my day. I'm telling everyone who will listen where to find your website. I'm sure we'll be doing more business in the future.

Have a great day, and may all your shots be on target.... I know they'll be long.....

"...finally used my new Harvey Penick Irons, warmed up to 40 degrees. Used the
TT Lites with Penick grips. The barrel ferrules look great !. Took a couple
of swings to get used to feel of clubs. Consistantly hit the 10 iron 100
yards within 15 feet left / right. Excellent 10 iron larger head then what
I was hitting before. The 5 iron being old faithfull came through like a
champ. Averaging 180 to 210 yards. NO SLICING. Took longer to get used to 3
iron, but thats me with the longer clubs. Finally started laying back and
whaling the ball. Great height and distance, about 230 - 250 yards. STILL
NO SLICING. I believe the no slicing is do to the tapered sole, heel to
toe. This gives ne balancing on the down swing and through the ball. Hit
these better than other clubs I have.

Highly recommend Harvey Penick clubs from Clubmaker Online !!!

I built the 3-P Acura irons with APT burgandy graphite I purchased from you and am extremely satisfied. Today, I shot my first ever sub-ninety round (87). I've only been playing for 3 years. I usually shoot in the mid nineties with my King Cobra Tours (Dynamic Gold Steel). But since the Acura's, I am hitting the greens in regulation alot more. My SLICE is gone and I can actually draw the ball now at will. Now, I am going to have to work on my putting.

Is it me, or are the Acura's built very similar to Cobra II's with a different cavity? I know the lofts and lies and number of clubs (no 2 iron) are identical to Cobra II's. Apparently Palmer's hosel license aggreement with Cobra, allowed Palmer to use Cobra's technology in the Peerless Acura's.

I am now curious about the Acura II woods. Are they as forgiving as the Acura irons? Please let me know. I am very interested in building the 5W and 3W with the APT green.

Again many thanks.

Hello ! Just a note to tell you I love my irons. They are just what I

have been wanting for a long time.

Thanks a million

Tom Haider

Hi John,

Feel free to use this on your Testimonial or Club Test page.

Played a round with the new Peerless Acura Plus II irons on Friday. I

came away VERY impressed. I made up the 1 iron, 3-PW, and Gap Wedge. I

used True Temper TT Lite S Flex and made the 5 iron 38.25" long. Since

I did not have a chance to hit these on the range before my round, I

spent the front 9 pretty much just adjusting to the clubs. By the back

9 I was really starting to get a feel for these. They are long, due to

the strong lofts. On the 18th hole, I hit the 1 iron off the tee. Boy

was I amazed when I realized I hit it 240 yards. Love the Gap Wedge.

The perfect club for that 100 yard shot.

Bottom line - Love these clubs. They are very confidence inspiring.

Dear Jim, I want to personally thank you for my new Peerless PHD Tour irons.

They are fantastic! I have picked up almost a club and a half on distance

and my accuracy is even better. My first day out with them merited a

smoooooth 76. I can't say enough about these clubs. Just for your info: I

used Apollo Platnium "R" flex shafts that were tipped 1/4 inch and Avon

Thermo Grips. This allowed for a lightweight club and a great feel on

impact. I hope others may find this information helpful. Thanks again.

John, I received everything I ordered by mail last Monday. I decided to

make only one club at first, the pitching wedge, just to see if I could do

it. The instructions in the Golfsmith "Basics of Clubmaking" were more

than adequate, and they were easy to follow.

Just two hours after asembling the grip on the club I was at the driving

range testing it out. I'd heard good reviews about the XPC irons, but I

didn't expect that a home-assembled club would perform as this one did. I

went right home and began assembling the other eight irons. Total

assembly time (excluding waiting for the epoxy to harden and grips to dry)

was about three hours.

My first set of clubs took me only one evening, and an hour of the next, to

completely assemble. The last club I had custom-made took over a week at a

local golf shop. By shopping on-line through Clubmaker, I had a new set of

irons, at about half the retail cost, in half the time(That's including

shipping time). Here's the kicker. Yesterday I played 18 holes with a

couple of buddies who don't mind paying 'through the nose' for their custom

Pings and Calloways. We're all equally handicapped, but I beat them both

by 5+ strokes. Guess who offered to make their next set of clubs?

Thanks John. I look forward to clubmaking with you in the future. Feel

free to use my comments as a testimonial for your advertising purposes.

Eric McLaughlin.

Subject: They Work !!!

Good Evening John,

Got the extra rocket shaft, thanks.

Got my Peerless off-set iron set with the Rocket "R" shafts put together last

week and I got to spend both Saturday & Sunday out at one of the local Muni

courses. They really worked get!! I noticed a big difference from my two

year old "Head Premise" set. I dropped 10 strokes between Sat.& Sun. once I

got use to them and the added 1/2" shaft length.

Thanks very much !

Michael Boyle

I used a Grafaloy Prolite 3.5 Stiff with a Zeider 7deg 165gram "classic"

size Titanium head. Using the Winn slip-on grips the total weight was

about 265 grams !

I also used a Reg Prolite 3.5 with a 195gram 9deg head, slightly larger

than the "classic", with the Winn slip-on grips again. It's total weight

was about 295 grams.

In both cases I didn't trim any so length was at 46"

Don't have a swingweight scale and haven't taken time to find one but

both have good feel of the head.

These heads are like no others I have tryed !

I normally use a GBB 7.5 and will get about 230-240 carry, but sometimes

with a slight fade.

With either of the Zeider's I was getting about 240-260 carry straight !

I was totally amazed at the sound and feel at impact. It was more like a

persimmon driver than Titanium !! Very solid without the clanging of

some.I let a teaching pro friend try both out and it was amazing to see how

when using either how much straighter and further his drives went !!

I really thought that the 7deg would be tough to hit, but was AMAZED

again at how easy it was.

I put both to the acid test, my 10year old "John Daly"...

While small in frame, he has a beautiful swing and has been known to

outdrive old dad more than once !!

Anyway heres a 10year kid about 50" tall swinging a 46" driver... it

brought many stares !!

I am happy to report, as expected, that he was able to also better his

length... Normally using a Warbird 11deg std length, he will generally

carry about 180-190 yards... With either Zeider he was out about

200-220. Needless to say I think I just opened a can of worms !!

John, Just wanted to tell you how pleased I am with my Zieder clubhead

with Grafalloy shaft. I am getting at least 15 extra yards per drive

over my old Taylor titanium club. Even on slight mishits I'm getting out

where I used to be with the Taylor Made. The club is very easy to

control and feels solid as a rock. Hope you are having the same kind

of good fortune with your new Zeider. Sincerely,Scott R. Atkins

Salem,Va.

Just a note to say that the Peerless Eclipse titanium head with the

Inovative comp tour light shaft is a real winner.I assembled it 44.5", D6,

with a velvet light grip. The results with this club is amazing.Went out today

with using this club for the first time first hole 290 yards.I hit 13

fairways and very easy to work the ball both ways.I have not had as much

success with the Grafalloy Pro Light as I've had with these.

witam40231@aol.com

I got to hit my first few balls today with the Zeider/Harrison Driver. The

head is 9 degree loft, 53 degree lie, 1 degree closed face angle at 202

grams. The Harrison shaft is the 2.5 XTRA at full 55". The finished club

measures at 56 1/4".

I had a bit of a problem at the range because it is mats only with concrete

stalls. The mats are too small to stand on and the concrete walls come close

to my club. Also, the tees are too low for such a club as this.

However, the balls I hit solidly absolutely vaporized! There is no real way

to determine the exact distance at this range, but they jumped off the face

hotter than anything I have tried to date. The yardage is unquestionably

beyond 320 with no wind assist but with semi-firm turf.

I am very eager to get to a grass range so I can use jumbo tees and have all

the room I need. This is truly an exciting club.

Thanks for your help. Further updates as they arise.

RETURN TO ZEIDER

Just wanted to let you know that I finally got out to

a driving range and tried out the clubs (1,3,5 woods,

titanium heads, gripless attack shafts) and they feel great.

FYI, I went with the 45", 44" and 43" shaft lengths,

although I've heard the new Taylor Made TI Bubble 2

driver shafts are 46".

I was able to hit drives in the 240 yard range (air),

about 30 yards further than with my old steel woods

(steel heads, steel shafts). And the clubs are much more

forgiving of slightly off-center hits than my old clubs,

as the face is larger. And I didn't even really notice

the lack of a grip, although I was using the Arnold Palmer

glove specifically designed for the gripless shaft.

Unfortunately the new woods didn't cure my occasional slice,

not that I expected them to!

Thanks again for all your help,

Bob

John:
I LOVE THE CLUB. I really have to put some muscle into it to get the shaft to flex. I like this because now I have a shaft that can keep up with me.The ball really flies off of the clubface. I have my first Long Drive Association competition Saturday. I have won 4 local events since I've gotten the club. I'll be in touch with you before long to order another Harrison shaft for a different clubhead. Thanks for your help with my Zeider.

Just wanted to share my great saisfaction with my new irons. This Spring I assembled a set of Penick Classic Player Irons. Last week while visiting a another club, I took 'dead aim' into a stiff breeze and scored a hole in one. No bounce..no roll.. straight into the hole! Even though I liked my new irons before the shot, you can bet I'm really singing their praises now.

Thanks for a great product.

Re: Harrison Long Driver:

John,
The club looks great and more importantly the club hits the ball a mile!
Thanks,

Jeff
